For 2019, Kia was sure to re-think the interior so it presents itself over models priced thousands more. So, the inside of the Rio 5-Door is upgraded from last year, but it continues to feel upscale and solidly built. Kia also redesigned the dash and gauge cluster, and even though it’s a conservatively priced car, the Rio doesn’t feel inexpensive. On the other hand, the Volkswagen Golf lacks the rich features of the Rio and its interior greatly needs some polish compared to our rival hatchback.
