Quakertown Kia Service Tips: Navigation Using Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze
Today, you’ll find most Kia vehicles are standard equipped with onboard navigation. However, Kia customers now have extra options through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You may find access to these options in vehicles equipped with UVO Play, UVO E-services, UVO Eco and UVO Link. With Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, customers have access to their Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze app features.
Vehicles equipped with UVO Link with Navigation, UVO Eco with Navigation and UVO E-Services with Navigation have access to the factory onboard navigation system.

Connecting Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
To make the connection between your phone and Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you’ll need to follow the required steps. We’ve included videos below to guide you through the process. Ask your Kia Quakertown PA sales or service representative if your vehicle supports this feature.
Entering an address or destination in navigation while driving
Depending on the model vehicle and phone, you may be able to give voice commands for entering a destination. Before diving into your device or UVO settings, we suggest you first press the voice recognition button on the steering wheel. This will allow you to use voice commands to enter a destination when in motion. This applies when using the onboard navigation system, Apple CarPlay with Apple maps, Android Auto with Google Maps, or when using Waze.
We stress enabling and using your hands-free voice command feature with navigation. If you don’t have voice recognition, we advise pulling over and stopping in a safe area and manually input the information.
There are a few exceptions. If the steering-wheel voice recognition button does not work with your desired mobile app, then use the in-app microphone button.
For additional instructions on setting up your navigation system, watch UVO Link/UVO Eco/UVO eServices with Navigation (AVN 5.0) for all models except for K900 and Rio.
